Log-EQF is a powerful, full-featured, and easy to use logbook
program for Amateur Radio operators.
DESCRIPTION: Log-EQF features a menu-driven system, complete
with mouse control. Beam headings from your exact QTH, automatic
reports from previous QSOs, date and time logging (with built-in
UTC conversion), notepads, and a user-defined field make logging
effortless. DXCC country and CQ/ITU zone reports are available
on-line from callsign entries.
Complete TNC support includes a monitor window on the logging
screen, a terminal program, and file upload and download
provisions. DX announcements can be sent and received using the
built-in PacketCluster (tm) system.
Radio interface functions are provided for all Kenwood models
with computer control capability. Radio frequency and mode are
automatically entered into the logbook. A "local memory" system
allows you to store radio parameters on the disk drive for recall
later, complete with labeling of memory contents.
Contest mode provides streamlined log entry, dupe-checking,
multiplier scoring, and automatic serial number generation.
Searches, sorts, QSL label and logbook printouts, and convenient
viewing modes round out Log-EQF's versatile features. Other
programs can also be run while Log-EQF remains memory resident -
Log-EQF will relocate into expanded memory, if available.
An extensive 55-page User's Guide is provided on the disk.
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Log-EQF can be run on any 100% IBM-
compatible computer with at least 512K memory and DOS 2.1 or
higher. The program works with all video adapters, monochrome or
color. A hard drive is recommended, but Log-EQF will run fine on
floppy-based computers if the following files are installed:
LOG-EQF.EXE, PREFIX.LIB, STATES.LIB, and DUPE-EQF.EXE. (DUPE-
EQF.EXE may be omitted if contest operation is not required).
REGISTRATION: The user registration fee for Log-EQF is $25 (U.S.
funds). Registered users receive the latest version of Log-EQF,
along with DXCC and logbook file import/export utilities.
Technical support is available from the author at 412-457-2584,
